About Grekian Pictures
Sevan Matossian studied in the Film Studies Department of the University of California, Santa Barbara. While living in Santa Barbara, Matossian created, directed and edited the most popular public access show in Santa Barbara history—IVTV. His footage went on to circle the globe via CNN, CNN International FOX, ABC, CBS and NBC.
Bessie Morris received her undergraduate degree in Film Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara and her Masters Degree in Visual Anthropology from Manchester University in the United Kingdom. Her directorial debut was the award-winning documentary, “KAMAKI” (filmed in Greece). Morris then filmed and associate produced the cult classic, “Bang the Machine.
While in Santa Barbara, Matossian and Morris formed GREK*IAN Pictures.
Matossian and Morris went on to produce, direct, shoot and edit the award-winning feature length documentary “Our House”. They accompanied “Our House” as it played in more than 30 film festivals around the world, collecting awards at more than half of them.
GREK*IAN Pictures has created for The Learning Channel, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Equestrian Channel and produced, directed and edited three very successful shows for ESPN (which have re-aired more than 70 times). We have made commercials, promotional pieces and four feature length documentaries.
